How to get Red Wine out of Carpet in 3 easy steps!
With thanksgiving over, some of you may be left with more than a full belly and a fridge full of leftovers. Dreaded wine stains always seem to spoil the mood don't they? Well they don't have to if you follow these 3 simple steps provided by The Cleaning Room.
Step 1: Using a clean cloth, blot the spill by pressing into it for a few seconds. (This works best by pressing your fist into the cloth and holding for a few seconds). This will begin to soak up most of the wine.
Step 2: Add a bit of water and blot some more! Remember, to use a dry part of the cloth for every blot. Repeat until the stain is mostly gone.
Step 3: Mix 3 tsp of baking soda with 1 tsp water and stir into a paste. Apply the paste over what's left of the stain and allow to dry. When dry, vacuum the residue and presto! Your carpet should be good as new!
Remember, when it comes to spilled wine, time is of the essence! The sooner you tackle the stain, the more likely you will get all of it out! This method works on furniture and clothing as well!
